You have to check behind here and call a river bet (or fold against a passive opponent). If you were out of position a bet would be fine, but you are in position with probably around 10 outs so you have to grit your teeth and call a check/raise if you bet. You should tend to bet made hands here and check hands with a lot of outs. If the turn was the 2 of diamonds I would bet (and fold to a c/r).

If the river is one of your outs you can consider raising, getting 2 bets in when you are a huge favorite versus 1 bet when you are likely behind and 1 when you are a favorite if you bet the turn.
