Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max
[ QUOTE ]
I don't know how in the hell you guys multi-table in NL. Limit, yeah.. I can look at a table at any point in time and based on my cards, the bets to me, and the board, I can make the right decision. But in NL there's way more than that if you want to make the most money. Add to it the fact you could be making a bad decision for all of you chips.. No thanks. I even have trouble with 3 tables of 6-max NL at times. Knowing the players at the table is extremely important in 6-max NL IMO. [/ QUOTE ] I can 4 table 100s and below without PT fairly profitably as big bluffs and gear changes are just so rare at these levels. 200s are player dependent. 400s is pretty tough for me and I don't try to 4 table. but at the lower levels, you can usually distinguish fairly quick how much each player is willing to commit with what type of hand on each street and most importantly this doesn't change over time. The only downside of not playing with PT (I only use it for post play analysis) is that sometimes someobdy will leave a table and be replaced by somebody else and I'll remember the position but not realize that the player is different. |

Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max

I think you lose quite a bit by not following the action closely. [/ QUOTE ] True, my PTBB/100 is between 3-4 my last 120K or so hands. This is certainly not a great winrate by any means. But I play 2-3 times more hands an hour then the average player, so it compensates (At least that is my rationale). Truth is, I am not a great poker player. I could never cut it making a living playing live. However, I have always been a good multi-tasker and I can play fast. God bless the internet. |

Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max
I 4-table 200 NL 6max but I choose my tables very carefully and if a table sucks (as in it is a rock garden), then I leave, quickly.
Buddy lists rock btw |

Re: Max # of Tables for 6-max
I like to think more in NL. I don't want to see "you have options at table XXX", mouse over and discover I have a fairly strong hand and somebody just went all in. Now I have no idea what to do. On the other hand, the greatest satisfaction in poker is to think through a decision and come to the right conclusion.
Cranking out a winrate on maximum # tables seems more suited to limit. Even heavy multitabling in limit can cause you to miss some river value bets. |
