Against just one passive/calling station opponent, I would bet the flop and the turn.

Ok that's exactly what I did - what is your river plan? That's where I get stuck.

My river plan is to curse myself for getting into this mess by betting the other streets.

Honestly, I don't have much of a plan. I think I bet half the time, and check/fold the other half. (And the third half the time, I check/call.)

Maybe the best plan is not to pursue these hands unless you have a read on the player with regard to how often he folds on the river.

Against an aggro players I'll check call. Against a passive player who will calldown with any pair I check fold. If he bets I won't do that again for anybody at the table for a while. I will check call or bet fold on all rivers until I think they know I won't fold every time I check there.

I like the flop and turn bet, given your opponents and how it has played out. I hate being out of position on this river. I think there is a very fine line between your 3 best options (check-call, check-fold, and bet-fold) here. I think this is a bit thin to value-bet, even if your opponent will call with any unpaired A, as your passive opponent will often show you MPWK, or some crap like that. Here are my ordered preferences (it is close):
1) check-call
2) check-fold
3) bet-fold.

Against a loose/passive opponent, you should check/call. They'll peel the flop and turn with a ton of crap.
