Hey Sponger,
Finally a game with stakes low enough for you to play in! I bet you could mop that game up. |

Didn't read the article...just the various stuff in the thread:
[ QUOTE ] Greater Zionsville Area Youth Ministries recently added "intentions to play poker" to firearms and illegal drugs on its "forbidden" list that students must sign before attending a retreat. [/ QUOTE ] My ex-wife is from Zionsville and we got married there! Somehow this quote doesn't surprise me for that area. Very conservative, upper-middle class suburb just north of Indianapolis. My ex mom-in-law wouldn't have been responsible for such an addition to the 'forbidden' list ....but I suspect she's probably good friends with the people who were. Hell, I might have even met them at the wedding for all I know (am I allowed to say 'hell' in Zionsville?? probably not). Oh yeah....the kid in the shades is hilarious. |

[ QUOTE ] Matt Wood, 15, shuffled his chips like his favorite professional poker player, Dutch Boyd. Instead of cigars, some of them played with pretzel logs hanging out of their mouths. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] God this is hilarious. |

Neal Hennessy, a 15-year-old Lawrence Central sophomore who plays weekly with Price, said, "I don't know any guys at our school who haven't played. It's extremely prevalent."

[/ QUOTE ] I played $1/$2 NL with a kid in Tunica last weekend that sat there with an unlit cigarette like Farha. He told us he didn't smoke. It was hilarious. He looked and acted like he was about 17. We all kept asking to see his ID and he never would show it, but insisted he was 21. He drank about 7 long islands before he finally busted out and just staggered off with that cigarette in his mouth. |
