Why do you guys even bother with the TV and the Ipod Mini?

Haven't looked at the store...

but I suspect the I-Pod mini is actually something you can purchase with your points...so yes, I would just take the cash OR use them on some of their 2k-point tourneys that typically have a better value then the equivilent $20 buy-in.

However...the TV they just give you. It doesn't cost anything.
Once you get to 25k points ACCUMULATED they send you the TV.

It's a 27" Sony Trinitron. Fairly nice. Quite heavy. Retails for about $450 or so i believe.
(it's not exactly a 52" plasma flat-screen....but for free it ain't too shabby)

I just looked at the VIP points and their VIP membership. How in the hell does anyone get to 5000 VIP points? Are they kidding, I've gotta play there for nearly a full year before I can order some of their swag, or books, or reap the benefits of being a VIP?

It looks like a pretty good deal once your in. Does anybody know the best way to accumulate points?

A Year? I got 1,500 points playing sngs only in about 3 weeks, then got bumped to VIP by empire. Do you not multi-table?
