Default Re: What to do with KK when reraised pot preflop?

Solid players would most of the time make that preflop reraise holding QQ or AKs as well as AA or the other KK. I push everytime preflop here to all but the very tightest players.

so you're going to push all in preflop, and hope he calls with
QQ?

When you reraise all-in he will only call with the aces.

The villain was ZeeJustin, if that changes anything. First time I have played with him, but I have seen him post here often.

And thus you get AK, the other KK and QQ to fold and still drag a nice pot when he doesn't have aces, which he doesn't have to have.

In retrospect I regret not pushing but I can't help thinking that I am viewing this from a results oriented perspective. This is actually a great situation for me, a hand I have dominated has taken the lead. Wouldn't it be +EV for me to let him bet a ragged flop and take down a bigger pot than to push queens out preflop?

This is really what it comes down to. I dont mind losing KK to AA on occasion. If you think about it, there are really only 4 types of hands players will go deep all in preflop. You will most likely only lose to 1 of them.

In my world there are only 2 hands people will go all in pf with, (having significant stacks behind them) and last time i checked AA>KK.

But I agree, on another level, I just cant fold KK pf.
