Re: Right line with JJ?
Call and raise the turn. Fold to a three bet if you can. I'm putting villain on 66-99. AT is the only hand he plays this way that beats you. I think villian is calling down with those mid PPs. 1.3 isnt that high of an aggresison factor, but if the river is checked he will probably call your bet. I think which line is better is pretty marginal.
Edit: Sorry, this isnt marginal. You have to raise somewhere. |

Re: Right line with JJ?
You got to raise and I think the flop is the best place to do it because if the turn brings an overcard you won't be able to raise.

I think you need to raise this flop to find out where you stand. [/ QUOTE ] Why do people always say this? This isn't the point of a raise, is it? EDIT: I guess I should have read the whole thread first. Sorry, Ed. |

Re: Right line with JJ?
There was a time that I got caught up in using this call-down line too often. Then I cut that passive crap out. There are good times to call down heads-up but this ain't one of them. Raise something. I'd raise the flop against this player.

Re: Right line with JJ?

You need to raise the flop here to find out if he has the overpair/three tens. [/ QUOTE ] If you're 3-bet on the frop, then take a look at the player and decide if his known aggression level dictates that he'd do that with a worse hand. Few players would, esp in 2/4 games. If you raise the flop, he calls and a brick hits the turn, be prepared to bet when he checks. If he donks you on the turn (fancy!), well, that's a tough one... probably call that donkbet and fold the river UI. |
