If you didn't want to lay down to a river raise, why not just check/call. What hands that he raises on the river are you ahead of???

Yea, I was thinking of the way ahead/way behind line, and I really didn't expect a raise. That said, I didn't want to fold here, because he's a TAG and liable to raise some junk there.

Villian flipped up 77 this hand, I was surprised to take it down.

This begs the question, is villain a moron for raising a hand that is probably not best or a genius for raising and having you seriously think about laying down the best hand??

Exactly what I was thinking when I decided to call. "Either this guy has me beat or he's familiar with the WA/WB line and knows that I'm betting something weak here."

I took notes that said "keep an eye on this guy".

You are only getting 2:1 on the call here. You've identified him has a TAG, and you are going to be OOP. Personaly, I fold and look to put myself in a better position.

After the call, though I would probably check-raise flop and lead the turn--hoping that this is the last $$ I put in the pot. Against most, this will get non A-holders to fold, and if he goes over the top of you, I'd give him credit for the A.
