Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
[ QUOTE ]
.. when I read the posts from new users of the forum they are berated and treated like idiots for asking what the so called "experts" here perceive as dumb questions. [/ QUOTE ] Shane, I saw it diffrently. I thought it was because the same questions got asked over and over again, which does tend to clutter the forum and make it less interesting. What I do find most annoying, is the repetitiveness of the questions, not the humour of the rude answers. |

Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
Here's what I've noticed. If you actually do a little research before you ask a question, 99% of the time the people here are helpful and polite. The burden falls on the person asking the question to do their best to find an answer first, not on the responders to answer the same question for the 50th time. Me, I just ignore the thread if it's something I see asked all the time, but some people will respond like assholes. If you take offence to that sort of thing, make sure your question hasn't been answered before. The search function is not that hard to use despite contrary opinion on 2+2.

Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
You don't get it on all forums - just on ones that aren't strongly moderated.
Try starting a flame war on Bet The Pot forums if you like and you'll be lucky if your post (or you) last 20 minutes.. UPF is moderated like Iraq, 2+2 like the USA and BTP like Singapore |

Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
[ QUOTE ]
The most recent was a post by a new user named "Brizza" who asked a question about odds calculating software and what would we recommend. For his innocent and lucid question, he was rewarded with a smart ass answer about using fifth grade math from a user I will not name. [/ QUOTE ] You have got to be kidding. At the risk of being rude, that particular thread was very mild. He actually got several very helpful answers - especially the one with the odds chart included. He got one smart ass answer from someone who is, possibly, frustrated by people asking basically the same questions over and over. It's nothing compared to the good information the OP received. There are certain forums on 2+2 that are pretty unpleasant. So, avoid those. Stick to the civil ones - those are where most of the useful information can be found anyway. Regards, T |

Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
I think you're heavily overreacting to what was intended to be a humorous (albeit sarcastic) response.
I think the message I intended to convey was, requiring software to divide 2 numbers for you, is extremely pathetic. |

Re: Absolutely the most RUDE poker forum on the Internet
Some people were just born to be an ASS#oles and their on
every board! If I see a bad post from someone I go back and check out some of their old posts. Sometimes it looks like the poster may of just been having a bad day and vented a little. Some however have nothing but flames or worse in their history,so therfore they become history with the ignore user option! You want to see some bad posters check out the bonus whore forums! |
