Yes, I play with the book open right beside me.

Re: Stealing and isolating a single limper.
I don't really think that's the best way to take advantage of the knowledge contained in that book, but OK.

I've also read thru it twice and keep it handy near the bowl. Not the fishbowl, the other one.

Re: Stealing and isolating a single limper.
i'm making absolutely no claims about the correctness of my bass-ackwards game, but fwiw, i think this is probably about what i'm doing in each of these cases...
1. open raise in MP3?>= 77+, ATo+, suited broadways 2. open raise in CO?>= 33+, Ax, broadways (suited or not) 3. open raise on Button?(same as cutoff) 4. folded to you in SB?(what do you raise? what do you open-complete?) raising Ax, 33-TT, KT+; completing JJ+. 5. 1 limper to you in CO/Button?raising Axs, 55+, suited broadways 6. CO/Button open raises.. what are your ranges in the SB (for raising? for calling?)3-betting 66+; completing ATo+, broadways 7. CO/Button open raises.. what are your ranges in the BB (for raising? for calling?) has SB folded? if so, 3-betting ATo+, 33-TT; calling AA, KK, QQ, AK. in 2+2 games, i'd tend to 3-bet most of my strongest hands; as 2+2 players are far more suspicious of calls than raises. |

Re: Stealing and isolating a single limper.
am I the only one that likes stealing with suited connectors more than offsuit broadway??
I like hands like 76s, 97s, those type hands a lot in these situations, I'm working on my shorthanded play so I could be totally wrong here as for my entire range of hands .. I'll type that out tomorrow when i have more time, its a pretty broad range(there are a lot of hands to get to 30VPIP or so) |

2+2er once said, just think of 76s as seven high. [/ QUOTE ] sthief09, in his Pocket-pairs & suited connectors primer. great stuff... El D also said something once (b4 he started responding to everything in poetic meter) about how in pre-flop, high card strength is a bigger factor HU than the suitedness & connectedness... |

Re: Stealing and isolating a single limper.
Why? You already have 0.5 SB in the pot but when you fail, you're out of position HU.
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 4. folded to you in SB? (what do you raise? what do you open-complete?) [/ QUOTE ] Raise any two. [/ QUOTE ] |

2. open raise in CO?>= 33+... [/ QUOTE ] This makes no sense to me. Why leave out 22? (It's strange in all the other cases as well.) |
