Default Re: ADVICE ON HOW TO PLAY AMATURES WHO CALL ALL IN WITH K9 PREFLOP? HE

Good question btetreau.
I would easily reraise all in on the flop if he had raised preflop and bet a low flop. I am a tight agressive player and do not play ABC poker HU. I would also go all in, as said before, with the likes of A10, AK, AQ, Aj preflop. On the flop, maybe middle pair, top pair / strong flush or straight draw. I dont like rag aces that much, even heads up. I have a few tells on him, however i also have a strong belief that he cheats (bottom dealing/ peaking/ deck arrangement) and despite this i continue playing in the hope that the good poker player will protrude. I have seen him cheat with these methods but it is near impossible to prove it, and if i comment or accuse, it will completely ruin the game..... help! lol

I understand wanting to play against a weak opponent, but if he's cheating, it could completely negate your advantage, or even swing it in his favour. Perhaps this is why you're losing, despite the fact that he is as bad as you say he is.

first of all help yourself and thing will start to swing your way. Don't play with a cheater and maybe you'll start wining. who care if it ruins your game cause it already is ruined from his cheating, you have nothing to loose from quiting. I mean you are already loosing your your $$ to his cheating. Be the smarter guy and play against honest people and then repost a real poker problem.
later

dude you stand no chance against lucky players, just give him the money and spend the time reading the newspaper rather then wasting time playing cards w/ him.

Hey Q,

Eigh, don't play with a cheater, even someone you think cheats! Simply put, you might see one thing here or there but more often than not there is more cheating going on that you don't even notice. I think that you could probably find better situations to play in, here the opponent is not that skilled, very aggressive, you are pretty sure he cheats, and you guys start playing with only 25BB - that is not at all a good poker situation to be in, even if you think you are a better poker player!

Do yourself a favor and either stop these games or tell the person that you think they are cheating and use something to cover the bottom of the deck, etc.... if they get pissed about that then screw them, it's a crappy poker playing situation anyway. Also, if you have 'seen' him cheat with those methods, then you don't need proof, you already have it! Just make sure that the very next time you see something like that you call him out on it right _as it happens_ because it makes it harder to deny then....

Good luck, BT

I had AA first hand in a big 1 on 1 game. He had prepared the deck and chips and dealt pretty quickly after i had sat down, doing a few "feable shuffles". It smelt fishy, and i therefore went all in preflop to avoid slow playing etc - but looking back, i should have folded. He called with KJ!!!!!!!!!!!! ??????? Flop was 2 kings!

Another situation, 1st hand: i get AQ clubs, flop is 10 J 4 all clubs - i have flopped the nut royal flush draw. He called my all in with 10 10 and turned a 10.

These fishy situations both occured on the 1st hand dealt - and, both times he was the dealer.
How easy could it have been for him to cheat by preparing the deck before hand?

I saw him bottom card dealing after shuffling the cards feably so many times, but each time i could not get the courage to tell him- anyway - when i finally did, he denyed it and quickly reshuffled the cards and said he was "insulted".....
One knows when hes being cheated, agree?
I really hate cheats!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

hes a known cheater would have been helpful information in the op. if you are still playing him and you know this i may have to question how big of an advantage you actually do hold over him though even if the game was on the up.
