[ QUOTE ] It seems weird, and I have a hunch spydog is gonna come kick our asses, but I can't really justify continuing past the turn. I think at least one of them has you beat for more often than the pot odds are giving. I'd play it the same way. [/ QUOTE ] Do you think it changes much if MP wasn't in this hand? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, then it's tougher but still correct to play like you did. Krishan |

Re: TT with AK on flop
The problem with these players (not too aggr postflop): they show aggression (pfr) with a hand like A7o, when I reraise them they think I have a better hand like AKo. So they go in the call-down mode right away.
So this means it's almost never good to go to the SD with a hand like TT on this board. Is this too simple? |

Re: TT with AK on flop
If another over doesn't hit than I'm betting the turn. I think I'm just check folding this one though. His range of hands that beats you is very high. Is that to weaktight?

Re: TT with AK on flop
My fault. Didn't see the other person call. If this is HU I am betting the turn if a non over hits. Do you see why?

Re: TT with AK on flop
hmm.. not really
I also think check/folding is weak, but there are not many hands that I beat. (because of his pfr) However, when it's HU his pfr might be a steal and then the situation is a little different. What is your river plan? Check/call? |

Re: TT with AK on flop
With the non threatening river card I think you have to call since you called a turn bet. I don't think much has changed. If you are ahead you are ahead, but probably still behind IMHO.
I think I bet a non over turn card because there are tons of hands that these loose players will call with on a flop like that. Any combination of TJQ I think are all calling because they have gut shot draws and many other crap hands as well. Betting the turn makes them pay for their draws if they are on them, not to mention I think a bet has decent enough folding equity to be +EV HU. Is this thinking flawed? |
