Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
[ QUOTE ]
what a strange check by villian...I'd check-call. You don't seem to gain much by betting. [/ QUOTE ] IMO you usually gain a bet by betting here. I'd bet-call mostly because he's shortstacked and could be getting weird with crap. |

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
Problem is can you call a raise? And I think you're only getting called here with hands that beat you. I'm not even sure that check/call is good here...

I think you're only getting called here with hands that beat you. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree with this; we're being called by any pair here IMO. The big reason I bet is because worse hands will check behind again here pretty often, but will call a bet. Deciding to call the raise is tough because we don't know how this aggressive opponent plays when he's stacking off; IMO given his kooky line and short stack there's sufficient uncertainty that we're beat to pay off a raise. But any time I make a statement like this I always add the disclaimer that I feel that I pay off river raises too much. |

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
I'd be curious to know if our shortstacked villian had exactly 2BB left on the turn, but anyway...
Why would villian cap this flop and then not bet? It makes no sense unless he's looking to trap us for bets on the river with a made hand. |

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
After the turn check through and HU, I'll bet that river.

Re: Micro 6 Max: AKo
This really looks like 76 or a really bizarre attempt for a free showdown. Check/call the river and make a note.
