Re: NL50 Too eager with AA?
I definitely don't check behind vs. 4 opponents here, but yes, the more I think about it, the more it seems like a clear WA/WB spot, and I should've played it accordingly.

[/ QUOTE ] You're right (I kept thinking you were heads up). A bet is in order. Maybe a 3/4 pot bet, then call his raise. Play position and see what he does on the turn. |

The Push looks good, if you had three nines for example I like call and lets him bet the turn more.

[ QUOTE ] t doesn't look like there's any danger of giving a free card [/ QUOTE ] I disagree with this - I think a likely holding for UTG is a high pocket pair, and you won't ever see it coming if the turn gives him a set. You're putting your money in either way, so put it in now while you have the FE. As DS says in SSHE, there's half of a buyin in that pot, get it right now if you can. [/ QUOTE ] Think this post through a couple of times. It'll be good for your gambling career. |

The push is a value bet against TPGK, which works because 1) we have a LAG image, 2) we are playing $50 online poker. We are happy to take down a 1/2 buyin pot without showdown, but if villain is really drawing to 2 outs, we should not be afraid of giving him a free card, esp. if he is going to fire a 2nd barrel. |
