On a couple occassions, I've repeated a comment from Clarkmeister who played with Chris Moneymaker in the Mirage 40-80 game for a while. Clarkmeister said he thought Moneymaker could probably beat that game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is that compliment sincere, or back-handed? Not being sarcastic, I just don't know how tough the Mirage 40-80 is. This is from a guy who dropped over $300 in an hour at 8-16 yesterday.

...therefore, he has been a decent player for a long time.

I forgot to make a conclusion with my other post

It's a sincere compliment.

I'm a newbie here so please take it easy...I hope this is the right forum for the question.

Before Ramer and Moneymaker hit the big one does anyone know what games they frequented at pokerstars? Was it all NL, all MTT, SNGs? or if it was LH what level? 4/8? 5/10? much higher?

I've just been curious about this for a while.

thanks in advance.

Don't you watch the commercials? They didn't play for money, but at the free tables at pokerstars.net, which is not a gambling site, according to the commercials.

Cheers, Carl.

I am really interested in reading Greg's MTT posts, but I cannot seem to find them when I search by username. It only takes me back a year or so. Does anyone know if these are archived somewhere on 2+2, or anywhere else for that matter? I would really appreciate it, as this is the aspect of my game I am currently working on the most.

Thank you,
Hotel

I've seen Moneymaker at the 40/80 Mirage game while I was there playing the 20/40. Had a nice stack but he always has that frustrated look to me

All info is prior to 2004 WSOP

Isn't it true that you were the biggest loser at Foxwoods before you won the WSOP? Isn't that why you moved to Raleigh NC to get away from the Foxwoods Indian Tribe, the Pequats, who repossed your house (teepee). Just a rumor I've heard that I'm giving you a chance to deny.

Greg lives in Raleigh? That's where I grew up. We're like twins or something.
