Re: KK
The thing about betting QQ is that we risk a cap if we decide to 3-bet. I don't think it matters much though.

Re: KK
with QQ i'd almost rather bet/call bet/call the flop and turn (and assuming the action went that way) check/call the river.

anything interest come of that decision? [/ QUOTE ] I won the hand? Rest went like this. Checked to MP3 who bets, I raise, 2 folds, MP3 calls. Turn, rag - bet/call River, rag -bet/call MP3 - had QQ (a bit weak imo) MHIG |

bet/3bet the flop. if he caps, go into calldown mode. [/ QUOTE ] I would rather bet the flop, if it gets capped bet out on the turn to. If he raises the turn go over to calldown mode, depends of the turn card ofcourse, a queen is the last card I whant to se . I dont see why you should slow down here. |

funny i'd feel better about c/ring AA and betting QQ. [/ QUOTE ] I certainly don't understand that. I'd be more interesting in getting out overcards with the lower pairs. No overcards to be concerned with when I have AA. On this board, bout the only we can protect against here is overcard draws and pps. What's your thoughts? |

Re: KK
I cant see the point in checking out here at all. Say that it gets checked all the way on the flop, giving players with AK or any pockets etc. a chance to draw you out for free. Does the pre-flop raiser bet the flop often enough to make a CR profitble here?

Re: KK
I bet/3 bet. If he has A/K and checks thru you are giving pocket pairs or someone with a J a free chance to steal this pot. If you bet and one or both call (doubtful) and he raises your 3-bet makes them call 2 cold anyway.

Re: KK
betting seems more likely to result in facing the field with 2 cold than c/r given our position relative to the preflop aggressor. i.e.: c/r'ing seems more likely to build a pot, which i'm more comfortable with holding AA.
basically exactly what you said... except you can't protect your hand by c/r'ing here. but you can, maybe, by betting. EDIT: apparantly i can't read the board. i'll leave my post to explain my original arguments, but from it, hopefully you understand that, um, i can't read the board. |
