I would say 20/40 is likely the limit where you start seeing games that are not occupied primarly by morons.

That why you play the 15/30, primarily right?

Peace,

Hah I play 30/60 now at the card barn, I permanently* moved up maybe 3 months ago. I now play against somewhat smarter and richer morons. I still play 15/30 online though, but the problem there is the morons have to figure out how to turn paper money into "e-Money", and they need a basic understanding of off/on switches, a mouse, and electricity, all while juggling keeping their heart beating and expanding and collapsing their lungs.

* Until I go broke, obviously.

Thank you rowboat.. That was a very informative answer.

To those calling this logic flawed: 1)Annie Duke, after busting out of the WPT classic about a few months ago sat 3-6 against my friend because the tables had 2 hour waiting lists. She would not stop bitching about the play and couldn't seem to win.
2) 2 friends go to foxwoods.. Equal level of skill, but one has a bankroll and the other does not. One guy sits 15-30, the other sits 2-4. Well, after eight hours one guy was up six fifty and the other guy was down a hundred fifty. Four callers in every showdown.
I could be wrong. This could have been a fluke. But all card players know that the only way to really learn a lesson is to lose money. Hopefully some of you profit in my quest for knowledge.

It is not the bad players that are the problem, it is the rake makes the low-limit games hard to beat. You want lots of bad players at any limit.

Based on what you have written, I would guess you don't have a chance at any limit but if you are ready to start figuring it out and have a little money then 6-12 would be as high as I would go.

D.

Could I recommend that you come play 10-20 to 20-40 here in AC? Let me know when you are coming please. I cant wait to meet a sophisticated strategy player playing in a B/M game for the first time.

Default On second though...

Ok, I reread your question. I see many non thinking players sitting in the $10-$20 games at the Taj and the Borgata.

I do not see too many sitting $20-$40 or above. However the Borgata in AC doesnt spread anything higher than $20-$40. The Taj often does, however I do not play there as frequently.

LOL, you play against people who can simultaneously beat their hearts and breathe? What a bad beat, all the 3-6 players have to alternate between the two.

That's cool Vehn.

You know what I meant by my reply. You like the morons as much as I do. I wish Fox spread a 15/30, as I'm ready for it, but not quite ready for the 20/40. The 20/40 there is the highest 'average' game that runs. Yes, there are bigger games when availible but they usually just skip up to 50/100+ and those games are very frequently mixed HOE games.

So that leaves all the top players stuck under the roof at 20/40 Hold'em. However, I'm seeing opponents that I used to run over in the 5/10Kill and 10/20 now playing the 20/40, and I can't believe it. They must have the mentality of cs.purchase here. I can't wait to move up.

Peace Vehn,
Joe Tall
