An even better line is to 3-bet the flop, AND check-raise the turn all-in. It only works against extremely aggressive opponents like this one and when it does, it's a true work of art.

It's going to have to be a pretty small 3rd bet to do this, there isn't going to be a lot of $ left if he even doubles the $900 bet, much less comes anywhere near reraising the size of the pot.

![]() against this particular player i think calling and seeing what he does on the turn is totally viable. he was very aggressive preflop (reraising pocket deuces to 425 was awesome) and on the flop, but he slowed way down on the turn if he didn't have a big made hand. in the two pots i was in with him, he bet the flop hard with draws but shut down entirely and checked the turn and river. so i think your line was fine. |

hey were you down there playing during the week...... maybe if you can tell me who was playing I can help you.... if you describe the guy some of those guys jump to the 5-10 NL and the 2-5 NL from time to time..... just to keep there fix on.
