yah. you're not betting pot when you raise it from 8 to 16. the raise was from 4 to 8, so it's 4 to call, which makes the pot 12, so you raise 12, and now it's total of 24... not 16.

but i'm pretty fried aswell.

what is with the minraise fest...keep raising preflop and those aren't pot sized raises...those are close to minraises. for example, if the pot is $4 and he bets $8, you can now call his $8, making the pot $20, and raise $20, so your raise after he raises to $8 should be to $28, not $16. When you get a crazy person who wants to get the money in preflop and you have AA, do your best to accomodate him. It looks like he had JJ but he's a crazy man preflop if he went that nuts with JJ.
