Play the Razz event every year for the best chance of winning a WSOP bracelet.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's my thinking too. I am planning on going to the WSOP next year and playing in nothing but non-Hold Em events, as few and far between as they've become.

I say 2-7 Draw. I would have said TDL, but they cancelled it for next year

2-7 is a 5k buy-in and only had 46 participants. In addition, it is multi-rebuy, so you can take chances and gather an unbelievable chip lead early, if you get lucky, since it is a no-limit event.

Forget about Razz, there were 200 participants last year and no rebuys.

And pray tell who plays the 2-7 NL? Hint, there is no fat in that lineup. you are facing the best of the best in the NL 2-7 event.

I think razz is probably the most winnable. the A-5 Lowball event is filled with california old timers, and they know how to play.

Convince someone who is very rich that you are a really awesome poker player. Then convince said person to back you in every single WSOP event. I think this would be the easiest way to do it.

yeah...from the cardplayer report re: the 2-7 game

"The “Who’s Who” of poker included: Appleman, Baldwin, Baxter, Bechtel, Berman, Bloom, Bonyadi, Brunson, Chan, Corkins, Cunningham, Grey, Haveson, Ferguson, Forrest, Franklin, Giang, Harman, Hellmuth, Juanda, Ibrahim, Ivey, Lederer, Lindgren, Longson, Mortensen, (Scotty) Nguyen, (Men) Nguyen, Phillips, Reese, Seidel, Stupak, Tomko, Wattel, Wilkenson, Zelewski, Zolotow, and others including Greenstein. There were enough gold bracelets in the room to fill 50 pawn shops. Conspicuously absent were any players who could even remotely be considered “dead money.” "

I think the best way is to enter the 1k no-limit hold'em. Not
too many top pros. And use a "Gus Hansen" style of play.

Default Felicias\'s Right

It's not even close. Especially if you gamble at the beginning and never stop rebuying.

Ok, say hypothetically, my goal of life is to win a WSOP bracelet. There are a variety of events for me to take part next year but assume that I can only take part in one event.

Which event should I enter to maximize my chances of winning the bracelet? Assume I don't care about the buyin, I play all events equally proficiently and I am male.

1. Get a sex change operation.
2. Enter the ladies event.
3. Cry when you finish second and realize you no longer have a phallus.

Didn't a guy make the Razz final table after reading Phil's book?
