safely? you obviously played well to be up to $650, but to lose 1/2 your stack on a hand like 10-10 is pretty bad. putting 1/2 your chips in only to fold when he moved all-in is pretty rough. $200 is not a probe bet. again, i think checking on this flop was the proper play (although you should have folded or pushed preflop).
