This is a pretty easy 3-bet on the flop.

Yeah, I'm not letting off the throttle until I see an Ace or its get capped.

Do you call down if capped or fold turn UI?

you should really really c/r this turn once it gets checked to the CO.

knocking out UTGs overcards might save you the pot, and he will be getting the right price if you dont raise it.

I definately 3bet this flop. There is absolutely no reason to fear UTG's raise (I bet this flop hoping for it) and CO just wants to give you his money.

Not only did you say no thanks to CO, but you also offered two players the chance to suck out on your for free on the turn.

Thats pretty terrible, but that's still not the worst thing you did. By far the worst thing you did was entertaining the possibility of folding this somewhere.

It is 16 small bets back to you on the flop, no one has given you any indication that your beat, you have an overpair and its 3-way. If this scenario isnt screaming bet bet bet to you, you are playing way to passively.

The turn is a clear call if UTG caps the flop (6 clean outs getting better than 10:1).

On the river youd have to evaluate the quality of your read on UTG.

3 bet preflop?

I don't think I would be comfortable 3-betting pocket eights with an UTG pf raise and three cold callers already in the pot...just don't see what you are accomplishing by doing that.

Villain showed down A4o and MHIG.

Thanks for the replies. I think this is one of the most important areas for me to focus on right now: aggression in multi-way pots. Heads up in SH ring I am aggressive. Multi-way in full ring I am aggressive. Yet for some reason I seem to be shutting down with a few opponents in short handed games.

By the way, pre-flop I'm throwing my hat in with the calling crowd. If anyone thinks that not 3-betting pre-flop in this situation is a significant error, by all means convince me. I'm willing to go on record as saying that, generally, me likey 3-bet, but this doesn't seem the time.
