[ QUOTE ] No, it really doesn't matter that much at all. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Well if it doesn't matter to both of you, why don't you do me a favor and vote for Allen. By your reckoning, it couldn't hurt. Thanks. Also, why are you reading a politics forum if it all doesn't matter? |

sweet, i was hoping there would be more partisan bickering, this board is definitly lacking in that regard. thinking that your own party will improve the country and that the other party will destroy the country is about as close to closeminded stupidity as you can get.

[/ QUOTE ] They should just have a 'recommend' feature or perhaps something you click that counts the number of times people want to say, "what s/he said." Sometimes, blind thoughtless partisans are funny though. In an abstract way. |

It's coming from both sides. Truly a shame. [/ QUOTE ] What was it George Wallace said? "They-uhs not a die-mmms wuth'a diffarunce in eeetha tha Ree-publicuns or Dimma-crats. Thass wye yoo shud vote fuh me." Or something to that effect. Turns out that cracker was a lot smarter than I ever realized, back then. |

Believe it or not the Republicans used to have a lot of progressives: like Teddy Roosevelt. The Democrats used to have a lot of conservatives (commonly known as dixiecrats). This is no longer the case to any significant degree. |

Allen certaintly seems like the logical choice and I feel like I should like him and perhaps I will as I learn more but something and I'm not sure what about him doesn't sit right with me.
