If he has a flush, why did he play the flop fast and then slow down? Either he's scared of a better flush (or any flush) or he has a strong draw. Given that he called 2.5 SB preflop, he probably has something like AA/KT/TT/99 possibly the ace of diamonds. While you may lose to a flush I think you are too often way ahead here all the way to check behind on the river.

This is a very easy river bet. A ton of two pair hands call you here, im not sure exactly what you were worried about when he just called the turn. Maybe QJ?

People, he check called the turn and checked the river. It is pitifully weak poker to check behind on the river.

A flush is very likely to have raised the turn. If he didn't, well he gets back the bet he should have gotten on the turn anyway.

A fast flop and a slow turn smells like the single Ace of diamonds, hopefully with a pair that can pay you off.

You're probably not getting c/red on this river if he has a flush, so he has to have 2 pair/set over 50% of the time to make a value bet good. I'd bet here but I think it's very, very close.

value bet the river, if he raises call it down. He could have held the Ace of diamonds and missed the flush.

Why not bet the river? Do you think the river card made your hand no good?

Flop action could be someone getting crazy holding the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], although yes it could be a baby flush.

But I still think that the way the action went on the turn, you're missing a value bet on the river.

Wait till the turn to raise a non-diamond (don't cap). Bet the river as you played it.
