I think the perfect combination is internet ring and live tourneys.

you mean you bring your laptop to the table?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea, but you have to find cardrooms that are close to the windows, or else you get no reception.

I can't sit around for an hour and not get one playable hand.

For some reason, I'm needing to have all those checks stacked up in front of me

Then do what I do while playing internet poker....

Keep a stack of chips on your desk top and shuffle chips while you play. Keeps my chip handling skills honed and when I win I add more chips to my stack.

I prefer live play too... I hate the rhythm (or lack thereof) of internet games.

RB - you get WAY too many vacations for one man to enjoy. No worries, NYC has the same type of eye candy to keep you interested (except in the card barns of course).

Default Virtual Vegas at home

Get a pack of Luckys. Keep one burning in the ashtray right under your nose while downloading some soft-core porn. Fire up just one slow internet table and sit out every other hand. You're almost there. Now simply test your auto alarm every 2 minutes and there you have it, virtual Vegas. Enjoy.

Expert tip - Virtual Vegas Keno!

Remove your Keno BR from your wallet. Divide into two equal piles. Place one pile into the ashtray and burn. Repeat as needed.

I live in Vegas, and play 80-90% on the net. I looove to play live. The casinos here are lots of fun, especially the Palms and the Bellagio with the hot women. I still play on the net mostly.

I live 20 minutes from Canterbury. Now,nobody would mistake CP for Vegas, but I find that I play online for $$ nightly and at CP for recreation maybe once a week.

Oddly, I can play 16 straight hours at a B&M, but MUST have a break hourly when I play online. I guess it's not so odd when you compare hand volume. 350 vs. 35 makes too many decisions in too short a time.

5 weeks a yr. of vacation time (of which I have used/booked 3 so far counting the NYC trip in July)

but it's that 3 day work week I get every two weeks (third week is a 4 day work week) - 4 days off at a time means if it can be done Sat-Tues, I can do it without vacation time.

But yah, I've been traveling a hell of a lot - in Montana right now on a Library computer - I need my daily fix - RB
