Re: Rabbit Hunting
At our home game, each player is allowed to go rabbit-hunting ONCE during the night.
Works ok and keeps everyone happy. |

Re: Rabbit Hunting
Happy games are good games!
(or were you misusing the word?) And what exactly is wrong with this rule anyway? Controls the rabbit hunting while allowing an outlet. ? LL |

Re: Rabbit Hunting
In a friendly game, I'd probably allow it.
In a serious game, the first time it came up, I'd ask if anyone objected, assuming no objection,I'd allow it for the night. If anyone did object, not allowed for the night. |

Re: Rabbit Hunting
Seems a little shaky to go back and forth, but I guess if your group likes it, should be no problem.

Re: Rabbit Hunting
We leave it up to the dealer. If they think the hand was interesting enough to rabbit hunt, they'll show what was coming. If not, it all goes in the muck and gets shuffled for the next dealer.

[/ QUOTE ] Hmm... some interesting points here so far: -wastes time -encourages bad players to chase draws and your "interesting hand" line is kinda neat. My spin on the "interesting hand" line, is that I don't f-king care about the cards that are to come, but if a guy wants to show his hand, it might be worth letting him rabbit hunt (only in hu situations). Re: Rabbit Hunting
In my old home game, we tried to institute a rule that in order to go hunting, you had to show your cards. There seemed to be a lot less rabbit-hunting after that.
