Re: Playing premium hands in loose passive games
Raising for value has value in the long run. The loooong run.
Nice troll though, no one folds the best starting hands in poker because their 3 opponents have offsuit 2 gappers. |

Re: Playing premium hands in loose passive games
Hey inspir3d,
Playing JJ-AA is essential. They may not be a lock, but they win far more than their fair share. (IE, you raise AA UTG. You get 4 callers. Each players "fair share" of the pot is 20% (100/5 = 20%). AA/KK probably win somewhere along the lines of 30-40% depending on your opponents' cards...this is a HUGE equity advantage. So, you may get drawn out on often, but you profit hugely from you're opponents mistakes and take down some big pots.) Long story short, keep playing them, and for as many bets as possible. Getting sucked out on is a bummer, but it shows you are doing something right - playing hands with the best of it and allowing your opponents to make incorrect decisions. Surf Edit: brazilio is being funny. Don't listen to what he says in this thread. |
