Hero played this just fine. [/ QUOTE ] I kinda agree... but I'm not sure if you can FIRST slowplay it and THEN push in on the river when the board pairs. |

[ QUOTE ] Hero played this just fine. [/ QUOTE ] I kinda agree... but I'm not sure if you can FIRST slowplay it and THEN push in on the river when the board pairs. [/ QUOTE ] Why not? The reason he slowplayed on the flop is that he (correctly) believed he had his opponent buried so badly that the only way he could get action was by letting him catch up. We've got him killed on the flop, then the board pairs low and suddenly we think we're behind? It's more likely that villian caught just enough to pay us off. Of course, this is without even mentioning that this is: a) a freeroll where people will probably pay off your river push with next to nothing b) a winner take all event where we have to take every chance possible to accumulate chips At no point in this hand am I afraid of being outdrawn. If I play it fast, it is only to avoid losing action to scare cards. |

[ QUOTE ]
550 player online freeroll MTT exactly half way. M>20, Q ~1.5. Winner receives a trip to Vegas. Donk dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on CO. Folds around to donk, raise 3xBB. All fold to aggro player who calls. Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Aggro player bets ~1/3 pot. Donk calling station calls. Turn: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Aggro player bets ~1/3 pot. Donk calling station calls. River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Aggro player bets ~1/2 of pot. Pot is now size of donk's stack. Donk pushes. Aggro player calls and has donk covered (barely). Donk doesn't see any other play except calling down with the best possible hand and raising when another hand could have sucked out. Results in white: Aggro player holds Kc6d for 6s full of Kings. Donk finishes 275. Poker is so unfiar! [/ QUOTE ] FYP |
