Amazing, I ordered my books (from amazon) after starting this thread (about 28 hours ago) I just had my books delivered to my office, which means they were probably down in the main mailroom for the past few hours.
BTW that was the free super saver shipping method, what an aszhole Id feel like if I had paid for overnight (although I guess I wouldnt have known). I am really stunned, it even says from KY distribution center. |

If your office is in Manhattan then Barnes and Noble will give you same day delivery (for a lot, not all, of their books) using the free shipping option. Same day delivery is the following zip codes: 10001-10007, 10009-10014, 10016-10041, 10043-10045, 10048, 10055, 10069, 10080, 10081, 10103-10107, 10110-10112, 10115, 10116, 10118-10123, 10128, 10150-10155, 10158, 10161, 10162, 10165-10179, 10199, 10260, 10265, 10270-10273, 10278-10282, 10285, 10292
Next day delivery to all addresses that UPS serves in CT, DE, MD, NJ, RI, VT, and Washington, DC; ZIP codes in MA beginning with 010-024 and 027 and PA beginning with 168-196; and ZIP codes in NY beginning with 100-135, 137-139 and 148. And a lot more with 2nd day delivery. Their privacy policy is much superior to Amazon's (which is why I'll never buy there), and their prices are usually about the same. With that said you can usually find better prices at other sites. |

I always assumed the pizza option and thus havent done it as sometimes I cant leave the office |

Not worth commenting on this thread except to say that ConJelCo is not the publisher of any of the titles above.
If we were the publisher we would not discount the titles at all. It is not fair for us to compete on price against retailers who buy their product from us. We discount most titles to the level we can afford to discount them. You are free to shop around. I suggest froogle, google's new price comparison engine. Chuck P.S. None of Amazon, Overstock, Ebay, Buy provide a forum like this, do they? |

[/ QUOTE ] Believe me I would pay extra to support the forums, but Mason has said on a few occasions that they do not care where they are purchased from, and that 2+2 writes/publishes, but does not sell retail. He said they make their money no matter where purchased from. (aside from eBay and other "2nd market" options |

These forums are here courtesty of 2+2 and Conjelco.
While it matters little to Mason where you buy your books from, it does matter to Mr. Weinstock. You are free to purchase your books from whomever you wish whenever you wish. However, given that these forums are here in no small part because of Mr. Weinstock perhaps a different tack to this topic may have been in order. |
