Default Re: Extra Blind, major leak?

In full ring i'll post from mp3 or co, otherwise I wait.

sh i always wait unless i'm bored/picky/whatever then i'll post from co only.

Has anyone who's played on multiple sites notice that when on party you end up joining a table in the CO or close to it much much more than on other sites? On paradise/stars/etc it seemed like a good portion of the time i'd be sitting down at a table in mp1 or a utg, and only wait 1 or 2 rounds for blinds. On party it always seemed like I was sitting down in the co.

Miller refers to this topic as a "picayune" discussion. That should tell you all you need to know.

Unless you jump around tables like a cricket with bladder-control problems, this can't be a major leak for you. The impact of a leak is related to the size of an error and the number of times you get to make it...posting will cost you at most 0.5BB (that's posting UTG), and if you play for a couple of hours at a full table you'll play, say, 150 hands, so the impact on your winrate is only 0.003BB/100hands.

In fact, I usually try to post in CO. That makes your first orbit cheaper than posting in the BB, and gives you a chance, usually, to observe a couple of hands, since people usually vacate their seat after their UTG hand. Posting in hiijack is about break-even with posting in BB (assuming a 10-handed game).
