bet the turn.

I agree 100% playing quads correctly 100% of the time, will not factor at all in your ability to move up

I think with any nut hand on the flop, it is in your best interest to bet the flop. Your only hope is someone having the odd card or flush draw and getting attached to the pot.

Quads: Open fold so you can focus on more important situations.

Here's one I got lucky with last night. Lucky because SB and UTG both had K6o and they both made Kings over Sevens full houses on the river. They also both checked the river through, presumably relying on me to bet. They must have been temporarily relieved when I did, ... until they found out I had flopped quad 7s. Wouldn't it have been nice if they had made their boats on the turn?

Note I didn't raise the flop, Doc. No need to blow anybody out on a paired flop with quads. If you get lucky like in this hand they will make something on the turn or the river.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (8 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (8 players)
SB bets, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, Hero calls, Button folds.

Turn: (6 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG calls, MP2 folds.

River: (9 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB raises, UTG calls, Hero 3-bets, SB caps, UTG calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 21 BB

Results in white below:
SB has 6h Kh (full house, kings full of sevens).
UTG has Kd 6d (full house, kings full of sevens).
Hero has 7s 7d (four of a kind, sevens).
Outcome: Hero wins 21 BB.

Ok that is a better way to handle it, Thanks.

on the other hand, which I didn't really post for advice, but now that you mention it...OESD and middle pair is a 3-bet hand? I also have the flush draw, but that's not nut-flush, and the pot is already bet and raised...

TomBrooks

with 8 guys in the pot trapped I think you're missing too much by not raising that flop.
