You might stop to consider whether there's any validity to their allegations. It may be true, it may not, but it's up to you to make that self-assessment.

On the other hand, kicking Dr. Phil in the balls sounds like a really good project, all on its own merits.

I'm obsessive with my hobbies too......poker is definitely no exception.

I also think it would be hilarious for you to use as much poker lingo as possible, just to **** with the Dr......

I definately think about it too much but I don't think it runs my life or anything. I really doubt they pick us, we will see.

I wonder if they were wanting more of the Everquest obsession rather than the poker obsession? I've seen Everquest do more damage to a life than poker. (I'm not joking.)

Unlike evercrack, poker does have some potential to add to the household budget. In that respect, a poker addiction plays a lot like being a workaholic.

For EQ: It's is actually a very cheap form of intertainment. You might say people save money if that's all they do for fun ($10 a month). Plus, you can sell your account/items once you leave the game, and make a tidy profit.

Against EQ: A friend of mine (roommate) lost his business because he was addicted to EQ for several months. He ate drank and slept EQ. The only things he would say to his kids were when he yelled at them if they interupted the game. The only time I ever got to talk to him was when he took a 1/2 cigarette smoke break (no time for a full cigarette).

Yes, but only if you're good! You cannot asasume that all (or even most) people profit from playing poker.
