Phil Ivey Doubles Up
Log: Phil Ivey and his oponent stare at a flop of Kd-Jd-6d. Ivey's opponent bets out, and Ivey raises, his opponent pushes all in, and Ivey calls. His opponent shows 8d-4d, and Ivey shows Ad-3d for the nut flush. The board improves neither players' hand any further, and Ivey doubles up, and is now sitting on approximately $52,000 in chips. I haven't had a chance to read the rest of this thread so I apologize if it was already brought up, but all levels are now two hours, including the 300-600/75.
Today I will be sweating a lot of pots since there's a lot of action taking place. A lot of players are moving their chips hoping to double up or go home. If you want to request some chip count updates you can feel free to do that here or in the lounge of my forum at pokertrails.com. I won't be able to get to them all or even in a timely manor, but I will attempt to do so. Jon |

[ QUOTE ]
Toto Leonidas and another player are all-in. Toto has AK of hearts and the other player has KK. The flop bring a third king with one heart. Toto needs two running hearts or two running aces to stay alive. He gets two running aces. Poker is so brutal. [/ QUOTE ] That's pretty bad, but not really THAT bad. Toto was probably about 4% on that flop. That's about the odds of someone catching a 2-outter on the river. It happens. |
