Re: Combating flush and straight chasers in Limit Hold Em
First off, you need to distinguish between a "flush draw" (4 to a flush) and a "backdoor flush draw" (3 to a flush) on the flop, as well as a "straight draw" (4 to a straight in order) and other types of straight draws.
Flush draws and straight draws are pretty much your friends until the river--if they make their hand, you lose, and if they don't, you don't lose to them. Don't worry about forcing them out of hands or anything like that.
As for players that stick around with backdoor-type draws, these are some of the best profit sources in hold'em. You'll tend to only remember the times they hit their hand against you, but keep in mind these players lose oodles of money in the long run--to you, if you play g00t.
