Default Re: What are your favorite lines spoken at the table?

I was in a home Hold Em game where we had the radio playing in the background.

I had a decent hand and a player after me put his hand up to his head and said "Here comes the Pain," and raised. I was going to re-raise, but the "Here comes the Pain" line stunned me. "What does that mean?" I thought. "He put his hand to his head, does he mean the Pain for me, or for him?"

We play the hand out, I win, but I'm afraid to bet the whole way because of his comment. When he turns over a mediocre hand, I ask "What was with all that 'Here comes the Pain' stuff?"

He replied "I was talking about Otto singing along with the radio."

From now on, before I raise...I say "Here comes the PAIN!"

When someone is taking forever at the table
"Sh.it or get off the pot"

When I get pissed at the horrible players in my home game
"What the F... where you doing?"

There was a preflop raise of 5XBB by UTG, call by MP1, raise of 15XBB by button, both call.

flop was all hearts, 9 high.

UTG and and button get all in on the flop.

UTG shows 5h8h. button says to UTG, "What where you doing."

and I say "ya, why did you call the raise with 5h8h?"

Idiot replied, "I was already in, so I was pot committed"

I have one of the loosest calling stations ever at my home game.

Almost everytime he calls a bet, he says "It's backdoor!"

Almost everytime he calls, he does have a backdorr draw.

lol....

Last weekend B&M 3-6:
The board is [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Down to three, first guy bets (with a club), second guy calls (with a club), button calls, and proudly declares, "Three of a kind."

One of the regular guys that plays at the casino where I play often says, "old age and trechery will always win over youth and skill." I like when he says that - cracks me up.

At a low limit table tonight there were a few guys who were friends who were there to have a good time (continually ordering drinks, raising on the river with 8-hi etc.) and at one point one of them said "You shouldn't play unless you're willing to lose all your money." Gotta love people that play with that attitude.

This was online but they refer to B&M play:

Player 1: These are the time I think this thing is rigged....lol In real games, the river doesn't decide this many games.

Player 2: When will you understand this is a real game

Player 3: Because in real games no ones still in it at the end

Player 1: its real money, but I'm telling ya, on live tables the wins are very different

The new favorite line from my home game. If a hand gets checked around on the river, and it's obvious that like bottom pair is going to win. My friend and I will take the lowest of our hole cards, throw it out and announce "I've got that 9" (or whatever) (which would be like the 21st nut no pair). Especially nice when it rakes.

i was playing $5 buy in NL with .1-.2 blinds last night with a couple of friends. I filled up on my 2 pair, but there was a 4-flush on the board. I go to bet, and my friend who is really really hammered says

"i'm calling whatever you bet"

I ask him a few times if he is sure what this is really sure this is what he wants to do (hey, I don't really need the money, i'd rather have him not be really pissed). He says yes, I shove all in and he calls with a Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] flush and I win the biggest pot of the night.

I finished up $19.
