It is so obvious that the Yankees cannot win with their present pitching staff, I'm tired of arguing about it. Brown will be useless if and when he comes back, as will Jaret Wright. They need at least one reasonably good starting pitcher to join the team. Chacon or Leiter do not qualify. Schmidt would.

True, giving up 2 runs isn't *that* bad. He could've gotten absolutely no one out and given up, like, 6. That would've been pretty bad.

Schilling's a great closer, I'm sure he'll bounce back.

my rationalization:

the series is 1-1, not a bad result

righhttt. but after schilling gives up a homerun to the best RH batter in the AL, the sox should just forfeit the pennant right then.....

Does anyone have an idea what the Yanks are planning as far as trades go? I've heard rumors about Leiter. Are there better possibilities flying around? What will it take for the Yankees to have a legitimate shot at at the WS?

LMAO!

its a game in mid july when he came back after not pitching in 2+ months....

epic-

the yankees of the late 90's
the sox win last year in the LCS

not a homerun off a rehabbing STARTER coming out of the bullpen.

youre misinterpreting what i said about schillings night. i mean it from the "me enjoying it" perspective, not from a "red sox are out of the pennant race" perspective. because i had a blast last night.

I'm not giving up hope on them just yet; but I've posted many times, how letting Leiber and El Duque go were horrible horrible moves.

I despise Brian Cashman. Bring back Stick.
