[ QUOTE ] With the board showing J-10-9-K-7 John Juanda bets $65,000 on the river, into Phil Ivey. Ivey folds and Juande shows him A-Q for the nut straight, winning a $200,000 pot. [/ QUOTE ] I'd definitely be interested to know what happened in this hand on earlier streets as well as why Juanda thought showing here would be beneficial. |

By not pushing preflop, he lets Greg get away from his hand if he misses, and is still pot committed on a scary board. So you stand to lose it all if you are outdrawn, and win less if not. I think it's a clear push.

[/ QUOTE ] juanda and ivey coming from the same site, and also probably being friends, i bet he didn't want ivey to tilt at all, and wants ivey to go up in ranks and make money. with ~6 fishes at that table, he's saying "don't mess with me when i'm in a pot, lets just take em down together" |

Why do they get a 30 minute break after only 75 minutes of play? Seems like they are trying to slow things down.
