BigSteve felt harassed because he was gay???

[...]

Please.

[/ QUOTE ]

I just like using the search tool.

[/ QUOTE ]whats your point? There are plenty of people in that thread who basically say they don't give a [censored] if he is gay, and that they agree with him that people targeting him are irresponsible and trolls. Question, whats the difference between someone trolling Steve, and someone trolling another poster? IS one more severe because he is gay??? If you think that, then you are indeed hypersensitive, and clearly the internet is probably not the place for you.

[/ QUOTE ]

What? Either you replied to the wrong person or really misunderstood the chain in our communications.

[/ QUOTE ]I replied to you, and I must have misunderstood your chain. But it doesn't matter, my post is basically aimed at anyone who said Steve was harrassed.

So basically Otis reported wacki for harassing big steve and then big steve came back on here saying he wasn’t harassed and what is everyone’s problem and Gorie came on defending Otis for defending big steve and wacki apologized for using poor judgement (but hey who can blame him) and TSC came on and said wtf???

I hope we have all learned an important lesson here.

I thought we were constitutionally guaranteed free speech rights in america.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ugh. The Constitution forbids the government from restricting your speech in most cases. It does not forbid private parties.

[/ QUOTE ]

Again, ed miller wrote that they were legally obliged to regulate content. If he was saying what you are implying, he would've wrote that they had the legal right. He obviously meant that 2+2 had some legal obligation to moderate the forums otherwise they [2+2] will get in legal trouble.

[/ QUOTE ]

He's referring to things like child pornography and other cases where the owner of the server is responsible for the content.

[/ QUOTE ]

The case law on this issue is far from settled. But do a google search for "yahoo sued" and you'll see some of the stuff I'm referring to.

OMG! The Horror! Otis the Marsupial pointed out a fact that the hyper-politically-correct don't like! Yes, folks, HIV AIDS, in America (Also in Westen Europe, I believe) is a disease that affects a lot more gay people (and IV drug users who stupidly share needles) than heterosexuals. This doesn't mean heterosexual men should ignore the risk.

wacki is now a mod in "Science, Math, and Philosophy" and I'm remaining a mod in the WPT forum (despite the efforts of Mr. Lepore).

[/ QUOTE ]

I would have given Politics to wacki if I was Mat. That forum needs a mod more than SMP does.

[/ QUOTE ]

I do NOT want to moderate politics. However, if politics ever has a moderator Zeno, andyfox, Sam h, and elwoodblues would be very good candidates. Simply dealing with all of the complaints will be a full time job.

Otis reported wacki for harassing big steve

[/ QUOTE ]

Everyone keeps on bringing this up. I would just like to point out that is not what I was upset about. If somebody criticizes me I take it very well. Heck I even take harassment very well. The fact that I made my apology and followed up with multiple explanations for my apology and the fact that this poster isn't banned:

WackiRodeMyGay[censored]

Should be more than enough proof of that. My problem with Otis would be just as significant if (s)he never reported me or made the satire of the "muffin top" thread.

In response to Otis's "In defense of the wallaby" post I will only bite my tongue. Although I really really really want to post a rebuttal it's not worth my time. I also don't want to say anything I might regret.

As far as Otis's HIV post, I don't understand why people have a problem with it.

Glad to see you back steve. I'm also glad that you weren't hyper sensitive to the violin thing. Because I'm not going to stop being blunt.
