Default I\'m out

Second or third hand after level 9 started (400/800/a100), I raised UTG+1 with KK. Big stack bully calls in the SB. Flop is Axx. He instapushes and I instacall (the pot was approximately the size of my stack, I started the hand with 10K and change).

He did have the A, no help and I'm out.

I was basically dead money the whole way, but I did manage to get up to 27K by the dinner break the first day before starting a long, slow card dead period. I enjoyed the experience and I think I learned some things that will help me be competitive in the future.

Good luck to those still in!

Later,
Che

Seems to be the steadiest update on Gavin's progress, as Cardplayer seems to have forgotten who he is, Pokerpages updates once every eleven days, Gutshot has his chipcount only once every so often and Pokerwire's updates are older than last week's bread.

Card Player did list him in their last chip count update, at 150k. I don't think they're intentionally missing him, but if he's wearing the same hooded sweatshirt and headphones he was wearing when we saw him in June, most likely they just think he's "another internet player". He told me this morning he didn't think he'd have the head phones on, but that may have changed. And for the record he seemed to be in a great mood and ready to go.

Gavin Griffin just doubled up to around $320,000 in chips. All the money was in after seeing a flop of 9d-6d-4d and the player in seat #3 showed pocket 4's. Griffin turned over pocket 10's, one being the 10 of diamonds. The turn was the 3 of diamonds, giving Gain the 10 high flush. The river was a rag and Gavin Griffin doubled up with his flush.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I was there and Cardplayer has it wrong. The river came 9h, pairing the board and giving Gavin's opponent a full house. Gavin is down to 65k or so.
