Re: Raymer Crippled
Final table last year, he busts an AA with TT (4:1 DOG) and he busts Mattias Aderson's AK with AT I believe (2:1 DOG).

Re: Kanter doubles thru Raymer
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] This is ridiculous. Weak call PF, coldcalling a raise with QJ, then calls on the flop with what? A backdoor flush draw and 2 overs that can't even be considered as full outs? What a joke! Kanter belongs in a Party 10+1 chasing weak ass draws. [/ QUOTE ] You aren't even on the table, so you have no clue what is going on and how Raymer is truly playing and what he's been doing. The key thing is the opportunity to bust a marquee player/big stack player. Is it ia donk play? Sure, in the grand scheme of things it's a real donk play. But the present opportunity to do so right now - to real cripple the defending champ/big stack player makes taking this gamble a great gamble IMHO. You don't win tourneys by nut peddling, you take stupid chances at the wrong time and then having it work for you. Lawrence [/ QUOTE ] Well put, at this stage of the game you need to take risks to go big. I wouldn't call someone who has made it that far an "amateur fish". He managed to endure thousands of opponents already. What was that movie about chess where Laurence Fishburne tells the kid that he only knows how not to lose , and needs to take chances to win? |

Re: Raymer Crippled
Don't know who is correct, but Gutshot shows the flop as being checked through. Still not hopeless for Greg, and no matter where he finishes today, I think his last two world series are a remarkable accomplishment.

Maybe, just maybe, since you're obviously not at the table either, you don't really know why he played QJs like such a donk ...no offense cheers! |
