Re: Getting tired of being white (7/11 trip report)
So basically you are getting tired of being a [censored] social retard, and most people assume this is being white, so yeah, i guess you are tired of being white. Anyone who doesn't realize how another person interprets their comments when it is so obvious might as well just get a job at 7-11 and punch themselves in the face.

Re: Getting tired of being white (7/11 trip report)
[ QUOTE ]
So, basically, you're saying you're a racist. "You know, there are differences between races and cultures. Some of them happen to be drugged-out, ganged-up hoodlums, one and all, that are a disgrace to God-fearing American society, what with their 'do rags and their godawful slurring speech patterns. That's all I'm saying. Now, that might sound racist to YOU..." [/ QUOTE ] if that is your view of me, then so be it. I don't particularly like any of the segments of soceity you mentioned--most people (but not every single one) of the degenerate hoodlums or the god squad creationist morons. If that makes me racist, then so be it. if you don't think there are significant differences in the behavior, lifestyles, and values between each subculture and ethnicity in this country, then it is certainly your right to think that way even if it is totally incorrect. |

Re: Getting tired of being white (7/11 trip report)
[ QUOTE ]
I hate white people. [/ QUOTE ] This was the point I was basically trying to get to that got lost in all the racism fights. A black person says this, its funny or at least understandable. But I use the word "bro" or "brother" (NOT 'MY BRUTHA' OR 'BROTHER MAN'), and I'm basically painted racist. Its unbelievable to me that society still functions with some of you uptight retards always trying to make a point to make yourself feel better about something I don't understand. -Jihaaaaaaaad |

Re: Getting tired of being white (7/11 trip report)
I usually lean towards the PC side of things, but I think you're off base here.
The fact is that there does exist a group of people who simply refer to everybody else as "brother". It's one of those weird things that isn't really regional, but we all know it exists. While if you were really thinking, it's probably on the polite side of things to avoid saying that to somebody who might take it the wrong way, but at the same time I think it's fair that a plack person in this spot understand that the person is likely not using the word with the same meaning. The original poster clearly has some issues with race, and is overreacting and projecting some attitude onto the guy he met. However, it does sound like the guy he met probably overreacted. |
