Seems Masons personal problems with a poster have lost us another good contributor. Apologize in private, thats petty kindergarten level stuff.

And there's an important piece of poker playing skill that needs to be mentioned here:

A lot of us came to these message boards hoping to learn poker skills from the likes of DS and MM. Now, we see a clear demonstration of MM's transparently thin skin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought that being thin skinned/easily provoked like this wasn't a good quality in a poker player.

I say this knowing full well where this post is going to end up.

I have not read the offending post, so perhaps this was merited. And, of course, this is 2+2's site and they can and should do whatever they feel they need to do.

However, I would also hope these decisions are tempered in some way to acknowledge the contributions of those making the offending posts/remarks/etc. Paul, while not frequent, has been a very strong contributor to this forum on a number of occassions. He brings a perspective that not many contributors here have (in terms of stakes he is playing and regular opponents he faces), and as such, I hope this was taken into account when making the decision.

the post is up in his blog. For the record I think a banning for these posts is absolutely rediculous.

He was asked to make an apology (which is a bit wierd, but whatever, thats what 2+2 wanted)... so he goes and makes a post calling the moderators Nazis/Nazi Youth.

ban makes sense to me.

I would imagine that Mason and Mat wouldn't react well to the use of the term Nazi.

I think you know he was not banned for that first post, I find ridiculous that just because he's PaulP he should not be banned for this post

" I am very sorry to mason that he is so lame.
I am very sorry to the forum that you're stuck with mason and the rest of the hitler youth.

Best wishes,
paulp "

I really think Paul is way off here, and I really find his intentions of putting Mason down totally disgraceful.

I thought he was doing so in a Dean Wormer/Doug Niedermayer sort of way, but that might just be because I'm inclined to look in the most positive light here.

Hey El D how ya been? I have to disagree with you about Paul though. While i agree he probably could contribute some good poker stuff, he didnt anyway(at least in last year or so). He would rarely ever post. And when he did it was usually to insult or mock someone with one word or one sentence. He was only interested in settling scores.

He would have been great for the forum if he stuck to poker and acted like a gentleman. Just a shame he had to resort to childish and rude behavior.
