Isn't it relative though. Nut flush could just mean nut flush compared to someone else's flush in a showdown, not the actual nut flush.

"Relative" gets tricky and confuses things.

My personal opinion is that the word "nut" should only be employed when it is the best possible hand, period.

That keeps it simple in my book.

ok, well some people also had some issues with the way you played your hand in that 2p2 magazine article.


I'm not saying this is the definitive way that it's done or should be. this is just how i interpret it. the straight flush and flush are listed as different hands, so I think the nut flush is different than the nut straight flush.
