Well, a top pick winner last week, and this week the moment I've been waiting for.... what could possibly go wrong....

$400 Chiefs @ Raiders u53

Remember the mantra from last year? I'm going with it until it fails this year. Chiefs. Road. Suck.

The trouble is, I don't trust the Raiders either, so I'm going for a compromise on the under here. 53 is a lot of points and I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs scored 10. Given that if I'm wrong they're still after a huge total, and I think this merits top pick.

$300 Chargers

Denver really were rubbish. I am not a football expert as you all know, but that was garbage last week.
I quite often expect teams to bounce back from being soundly beaten, but they don't look ready to bounce back yet, they looked totally dreadful to me and they're up against a very tough side in the Chargers.
This would be top pick had I not promised myself to top pick the first Chiefs road game.

$200 Steelers

Both sides are proven to cover/lose this spread already at road/home. Steelers surely can win this by a TD, even though I think the Texans will have a winning season.
Last week's match seemed to show that Houston just are not ready yet, and the Steelers are ready as ever.


Before my final pick, I'd like to whine about a rule. I don't really think we should be allowed two picks from one game.
For example, I think the Chiefs will suck and hence lose, and complete the under.
At this stage, I would pick them for the $100 pick too to lose on the spread, but since I want a challenge I'm going to look for something else. This may become an issue after week 12 or so when people try to make up ground with all their eggs in one basket.

$100 Vikings

I cannot see how Minnesota can ever win this game. I think Cinci will be strong this year and the line seems ridiculous.

One thing I have learned is that when a line seems ridiculous to me , the bookies are stealing my money, so I'm going to fade myself and go with the Vikings to win this by 20.
