welcome to 1/2 6-max gabe!

graph

so brutal. I get a nice warm welcome by super-hot cards, and then dump it all plus more during a rather vicious downswing. So many tough overcard hands.

Default Big pot poker....in Paradise.

I loved this hand. Tilt maker. I actually had enough control to get up and leave the table before I tilted away the rest of my buy in. Well, not before I made some notes.

MP3 actually had the nerve to tell me he's not that stupid usually.

Well, I didn't really mean to just post more beats. I meant that, as someone who has enough of a head on his shoulders to know where to post the beats, you would probably make a good contribution to whatever forum you lurk most. Post more real content in the main threads! However, if you just want to post beats, you won't bother anyone if they're all in here.

Default Swings

So last week was el suck for me. This week, in about 3000 hands, I made back everything I lost last week (143BB). Ahhh, taking their money is nice. Nothing reaffirms my faith in my game more than kicking damn downswings out the kitchen door into the alley.

Whine.

Alright, here's the worst beat I've ever taken...

1/2 full

CO posts, Hero is on Button with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Preflop: 6 folds, CO checks, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, CO calls

Flop: (6.5 SB) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB calls, CO calls

Turn: (4.75 BB) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB folds, CO raises, Hero 3 bets, CO caps, Hero calls

River: (12.75 BB) T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
CO bets, Hero raises, CO 3 bets, Hero caps, CO calls

Final pot: 20.75 BB
Hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for an ace high flush
CO has Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for a queen high straight flush.

CO needed to catch the T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the turn to have a one card draw (to the other card) to beat me. That's over 1000:1 against if I recall correctly.

How bout this one:

Monthly tourney at my house.

I'm on the button and look down to find 2 lovely ladies.

I make it 4xBB and SB calls, but BB goes all in for about 3/4 of my stack. I quickly call and to my suprize the SB does too.

BB flips over J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I'm in there with my Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
My good buddy in the SB shows us J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Ooooo, me likey.
Flop g00t, turn g00t, river...........lo and behold the last J for the one outer. I'm crippled and out 3 hands later.

From the "I thought he was bluffing with 64o department". I have another one with him calling a river raise with queen high but that shows my embarrassing weak tight play.

Flop: (4 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG+2 folds, MP2 calls, Hero folds.

Turn: (3 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, MP2 raises, BB calls.

Outcome: MP2 wins 11 BB.
