No it isn;t. THere are plenty of economists who believe that minimum wage laws can be approporiate. "The primary problem is that minimum wage laws eliminates jobs. This is a near indisputable fact." Possibly. On the other hand when the UK introduced minimum wage laws employment didn;t go up, and there have been many examples of country's with minimum wage laws with close to full employment. |

"I think you will agree however that the current purviews of the federal government stretch far beyond the primary purposes I named, as well as far beyond the additional things you mentioned."
