He now has 2 less flush cards when they run it the 2nd and 3rd. It varies on edge, sometimes people will flip their cards over say a pair with flush draw and you have a set. Well now you know that you have 1 less card that pairs the board. It's small edges but it's something you always consider |

It's an easy theorem to prove. |

It all balances out exactly. |
