Yes I think it was a good play to check it down. Remember, any bet is going into a side pot worth ZERO, so a fold doesn't really help much. Getting rid of Dannenman increases the chance of winning the pot, but also is a nice boost to Tex's chances of staying alive. I think Hachem would be much happier to play HU with Dannenman trailing 2.5-1 in chips than see a 3 way battle with close to equal chips.
