Again, if it didn't actually help, I think players would know. [/ QUOTE ] Never overestimate the mind of the pro athlete. Always remember that. |

Re: Palmiero tests positive for steroids?

Oh, and, FWIW, I put Bonds in the hall and I'm 1000% certain he took steroids. [/ QUOTE ] Well I think everyone is certain he took steroids, he did admit it. Of course....he didn't know he was using steriods, just "the cream" and "the clear".... |

Re: Palmiero tests positive for steroids?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Should be interesting to hear what over-the-counter supplement he used that has some small banned ingredient that he didn't know about. [/ QUOTE ] Well, if he does his research, it shouldn't be that hard. One of the health professors at GT sent off 10 or 12 common over the counter supplements to another University lab in California to have them analyzed. From the legal, OTC pills/powders he sent out, none had every ingredient on the label, a 7 had illegal steroids in them. [/ QUOTE ] That sounds like complete bullshit. Reference please? eastbay |

Re: Palmiero tests positive for steroids?
Canseco is more credible than most people thought. I believe him and I believe that most of the stuff he wrote in his book is true.

Me too. I think McGuire's physical gains mirrored Canseco's for their years together in Oakland.

Um, everybody's averages jumped in 1993. [/ QUOTE ] To clarify, Rafael Palmeiro's OPS+ (OPS adjusted for park and era, 100 is average): 1991: 155 1993: 150 |
