i think least appropriate is knocking the bloody crap out of this psycho. i think all of us, except you, would definitely be yelling at this fool (what we yell may differ but yell we will).

Personally I'm kind of tired of people trying to win arguments by claiming that no one can have an opinion unless they can directly relate to the situation.

I'm not saying the death threat was the least appropriate response. Just one of the least appropriate.

And I'm not saying that others here wouldn't have done as much or worse. I just don't think he should be praised for his actions in this case.

If you ask me, Greg showed admirable restraint.

How was it admirable, he threatened to kill a man? He also escalated a situation that he could have de-fused by reporting the man to security.

[censored]. Either you're not a father or... I don't know what.

In this case, judgement would require a similar situational experience IMO

I'm sorry but the whole "your not a father" defense is ridiculous. I'm sure you love your children, but there's no reason to assume that your love for you child is so much stronger then my love for my wife/family/friends that I can't even comprehend it.

Again I find this a rather weak argument. If I kill my wife should the jury be made up of only married men? Despite that I have been involved in two similar situations in the past.

As I said I'm not trying to insult Greg but I just really don't understand why everyone is shouting his praises for threating to murder someone.

Think about it, if this guy is legitimately intending to harm Greg's daughter then threatening to kill him is not going to stop him. Reporting the man to casino security, notifiying whoever was watching his daughter, and possibly informing the police are all far better alternatives.

quite obviously TOO much restraint. 'you better watch yourself'???

some things may be worth it to lose your freedom for a couple hours, pay a bond and move on for...i realize he may be concerned with appearance and all, but in his shoes, i wouldn't have stopped at words. i'd interrogate him, and if his answers didn't work for me, he'd lose his front four teeth...
